Thiago Maia ‘stopped’ the possible exchange with Fausto Vera

Thiago Maia’s situation in the football market is turbulent. Considered to be Flamengo’s ‘bargaining chip’ to get Fausto Vera, from Corinthians, the red-and-black midfielder is not convinced that going to the São Paulo team is a good idea. The project presented by him was not to his liking, and the athlete now wants to remain at Mengão.

According to the Coluna do Fla report, this was the reason why the possible exchange of Thiago Maia and Fausto Vera was blocked. The Argentine is excited about the chance to play for Flamengo and pleases coach Tite. On the other hand, the red-black player awaits new ‘attractions’ from the Corinthians to take on the new career challenge.

With a contract valid for another three seasons with Flamengo, Thiago Maia said, last month, that he is not thinking about leaving.
