Thiago Almada called up for Argentina’s 2022 World Cup

Lionel Scaloni, coach of the Argentine national team, decided today, Friday, to summon Thiago Almada, an American player from Atlanta United, to be called up for the World Cup, which will begin tomorrow, Sunday, and continue until 18 December next.

The coach decided to include Almada after ruling out Inter striker Joaquin Correa, due to his knee injury.

Argentina is in Group C, which includes Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
