At just 17 years old, Almada made his debut in the Vélez Sarsfield first division in 2018. At Fortín, after jumping from the lower divisions, he played 100 games and scored 24 goals. He was one of the best players on the team led by Gabriel Heinze. This earned him the call-up to the national team.

Since last year he came to the MLS and is one of the figures of his team, Atlanta United, which at the moment is the last one in the Eastern Conference to be directly entering the playoffs.
