They will provide training to request and receive advances from the State Funds for Recovery account

The executive director of the Central Office of Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience (COR3), Ottmar Chávez, reported on Saturday that sub-recipients will receive training to request and receive money advances from the State Recovery Funds (SRF) account for their acronym in English) and thus start reconstruction projects.

“The trainings seek to guide and take step by step to each sub-receiver on the process of requesting funds from the account created by the Government, whose balance is $ 100 million, so that the reconstruction projects are advanced. As we announced with Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced on December 26, many projects will be eligible to benefit and have the necessary liquidity to start the reconstruction projects of the emergency caused by Hurricane Maria, ”said Chávez.

Funds will be replenished through FEMA Public Assistance Program reimbursements, as they become available.

The training will begin next Tuesday, 21 until Friday, January 24, 2020, starting at 10:00 am at different points of the regional offices of FEMA and COR3 to bring the information as close to the sub-recipients.

Likewise, this opportunity will be used to also assist recipients with the mandatory quarterly report for all Project Sheets (PW) that each subreceptor must complete through the Disaster Recovery System (DRS) acronym in English).

“The process of recovery from Hurricane Maria has not stopped, but we understand that we now face a new emergency with the municipalities of the south after the earthquakes of the past weeks. In this sense, COR3 will carry out all the corresponding actions so that the affected municipalities obtain the necessary information at their convenience ”, emphasized the executive director of COR3.
