Mexico City. The Mexico City International Airport (AICM) will carry out scheduled preventive maintenance work on the Aerotrén, from April 12 to 26. The transfer of passengers with a boarding pass between terminals may be done on buses at no cost.
Due to the work, the internal road to Terminal 2, from the cable-stayed bridge, will be closed from 11 p.m. on April 12 to 5 a.m. on April 15. Therefore, passengers with a flight scheduled on those dates departing from said air terminal are recommended to anticipate their arrival at the airport, using road alternatives such as Axis 1 North.
The transfer between terminals for users can be done in TETSA company trucks, located at gate 7 of Terminal 1 and in the bus area of Terminal 2 next to gate 4, from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. free of charge upon presentation of your boarding pass.
The AICM added that the scheduled preventive maintenance of the Aerotrén includes track grading; cutting and splicing of the tractor cable; the review of the door and ventilation systems, among other works.
The maintenance will be carried out in coordination with the company Sintra, in charge of maintaining the Aerotrén, the manufacturer Doppelmayr Cable Car (DCC) and the Federal Electricity Commission.
