El Paso Animal Services and its partners will get free pet microchips and vaccinations through a mega pet wellness clinic, sponsored by the Petco Love Foundation, at 301 George Perry Blvd on March 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The event will serve animals on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited to the first 1,000 pets.
Dogs will receive a parvo/distemper vaccine, while cats will receive a feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (FVRCP) vaccine, both will also be microchipped.
Pets must remain in the vehicle; all dogs must be leashed and cats must be placed in a secure carrier while visiting the drive-in clinic.
Pets must be six weeks of age or older to receive vaccinations. There will be no other pet vaccinations available at this drive-thru event.
This event will be part of a series of vaccination events the department plans to offer during National Pet Vaccination Month.
