Mexicali, BC To Sunday, January 2, 2022.- With the aim of honoring and recognizing the work performed by the agents of the Municipal Public Security Directorate, the Government of Mexicali, headed by Norma Bustamante, commemorated the “International Police Day”.
In her message, Municipal President Norma Bustamante expressed her admiration for the work that the officers do to maintain order and security for Mexicans.
Therefore, as part of the actions to dignify its work, the 24th City Council managed the increase in benefits, which they did not have and will be granted as of this 2022.
Norma Bustamante highlighted that these benefits include annual support for retired beneficiaries and agents with disabilities, a risk bonus, and an economic stimulus of $ 2,500 pesos for the children of DSPM agents who are studying.
As well as life insurance, which involves funeral expenses and a 30% advance payment for terminal illness.
Also, it highlighted in being the first municipality to unite FIDUM and FIDEPOL so that the police have the opportunity to acquire their own home.
The Mayor of Mexicali during her speech honored the memory of eight elements that unfortunately in 2021 lost their lives due to organized crime.
Finally, he reaffirmed his commitment to continue strengthening the benefits and improving the working conditions of those who care for the cachanillas.
As part of the celebration of International Police Day, a mass was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, followed by the Guard of Honor ceremony at the monument to the fallen police officer in the DSPM.
Finally, the awards ceremony was held at the State Theater, where the trajectory of 159 elements who completed 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service and an economic stimulus were recognized.
They also awarded the recognition of “Police of the Year” to Mario Guadalupe Armenta Rincón and Hiram Sinhue Figueroa Ochoa along with support of 10,000 pesos.
Finally, they gave the “Heroic Act” award to eight police officers as well as an economic stimulus of $ 2,500 pesos.
