The influenza vaccination module installed in the Acoustic Shell of Toluca It will remain one more week in a schedule from 09:00 to 14:00; they will also offer the tetanus, measles and rubella vaccine.
“The truth is that if we have had a response from the people, then vaccinate us around 200 people a day, that is why they asked us to extend the campaign, one more week”, said an IMSS nurse who attended the vaccination module in the center of Toluca.
They expressed that although there is not a great demand, many people come to ask about the vaccine and how many days the module will be maintained.
They indicated that the instruction by the authorities of the IMSS Zona Poniente State of Mexico, was to apply the influenza vaccine, as well as tetanus only this week, however, one more will be extended so that those who could not apply the dosehave one more chance.
“Many say that why do they apply the influenza vaccine, but this biological protects them until March”, asserted another of the Social Security nurses.
He mentioned that the vaccine application will continue against influenza and tetanusalthough measles and rubella doses are also available.
“People can come with their card and here we can tell them which vaccine we can apply to them. The intense vaccine is every year and the tetanus vaccine every 10 years.”, he added.
They mentioned that there are also people who ask about the vaccine against Covid-19, however, these campaigns are managed by the federal government in coordination with the government of the State of Mexico.
They explained that to citizens of all ages approach this modulealthough it is generally people who walk through the center realize that the vaccine is offered and apply it immediately.
“People come and ask us, and although they think about it when we tell them that it is for the entire population, they take advantage and apply it.”, stressed another of the IMSS nurses.
The procedure, they assured, is very simple, because all they have to do is register and that’s it; obviously, they added, if they bring their vaccination card it is better.
“We are going to be another week with a schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so that people come to get vaccinated and if they have minors they can also bring them to complete their vaccination chart, if we have it”, concluded the health worker.
It should be noted that the goal for the IMSS Zona Poniente authorities is to apply 652,300 doses since the winter season began, which was in October of last year and ends in March of this 2023.
