The member of the Regional Coffee Council in Coatepec, Cirilo Elotlán Díaz, reported that the strengthening of the 2021 budget will be sought in the Well-being Production program.
Interviewed, said that last year and in this, each producer received 5,000 pesos, however, a resource of 8 to 10,000 pesos will be considered, because in this way it will be possible to achieve fertilization in the field.
And it is that the producer explained that this money is insufficient and must also be supplemented by a financing scheme.
“This year and last year it was 5 thousand pesos, we are asking between 8 and 10 thousand pesos per producer so that more or less it can reach for fertilization in the field and in this way we continue to maintain the coffee growing,” he explained.
He also pointed out that there are concerns, because a list of producers is already being raised in the Wellbeing modules in Coatepec, however, according to his words, the number of coffee growers with a reduced area is increasing.
“The Federal Government has said that the organizations are corrupt, in the Welfare modules they are receiving files for all the producers who were not considered within the 2020 program, the problem we are seeing is that, for example, if I have 5 children In that same hectare they all sign up, that is, the number of coffee producers with a reduced area is increasing. Corruption will continue and worse ”, he explained.
