Texcoco, Mex. The municipal government reported that a community museum will be built on a property located in the central area of ​​Texcoco, where there are archaeological remains; after the Coppel Foundation donated the land.

The property has an area of ​​more than two thousand square meters, located on Juárez and Allende Street and for more than 20 years the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) has closed the construction works of a store that the company carried out, due to the discovery of archaeological remains.

Currently, we are waiting for the INAH’s provisions to carry out the planning work for a site museum for the protection and exhibition of archaeological pieces found in this municipality.

The municipal president of Texcoco Elizabeth Terrazas Ramírez pointed out that on August 16, a commitment signed between Coppel directors and the city council for the donation of the property was signed before notary public 113 based in Toluca.

He stated that until yesterday the agreement was made public that consolidates a project that he resumed at the beginning of the year with the purpose of giving public use to the property, which benefits each and every resident of Texcoco who will be able to see part of this work. of its historical past. Since past administrations, the donation process began.

He maintained that the property is already protected by the municipal government.

“After years of processes and procedures, we formally donated a property of more than 2 thousand square meters, located in the heart of Texcoco, which contains important archaeological remains.”

“The inhabitants of Texcoco will be the main beneficiaries of this donation,” said the president of the Board of Directors of the company Agustín Coppel Luken.
