León, Gto.- This Sunday began Rabies Vaccination Day in Guanajuato where it is expected to apply until 2 million organic products in the stateor, of which, 200,000 will remain in León for cats and dogs until Saturday.
According to Guanajuato Health Secretary (SSG), will settle in the state 800 vaccination places in health centers, as well as more than one thousand 200 brigades and house-to-house visits will be carried out in hard-to-access locations to ensure that this service benefits the entire population of Guanajuato.

The coordinator of Sector II Health promotion, Reyna López Murillo, explained during the formal event that took place this Sunday at Leon Codex I that females and males can be vaccinated from one month of age and animals of other species will not be vaccinated.
“Give rabies coverage to all cats and dogs, preventative care and, most importantly, the spread that come to apply the vaccine to their pets,” he commented.
From 2007 to 2020, there were 181 cases of canine rabies in the country, none in Guanajuato. In 2022 only one case on the border with Jalisco. León is 28 years old without canine anger, the last case in 1994, in the community of Las Joyas.
