TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.- A part of the population will receive the third dose of the covid-19 vaccine as of Monday, as reported by President Juan Orlando Hernández and the authorities of the Ministry of Health.
The immunizer applied will be that of Pfizer, which has been approved by experts to be mixed with other anticovid-19 doses.
The Honduran president made use of his social networks to remember in the last hours who will be the beneficiaries of the new phase of the vaccination campaign.

For its part, Lourdes mendoza, doctor and deputy chief of the Expanded Immunization Program said that “in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the National Advisory Council on Immunizations, which is made up of recognized doctors of high experience, pediatricians, pulmonologists, etc; they have given important recommendations to Health for the application of the third booster dose of covid-19 “, while ensuring that when you only have two doses, immunity can be weakened.
Similarly, the Vice Minister of Health, Fredy Guillen, predicted that about 79,000 people will receive the third antidote in this first stage, although eventually all Hondurans will have to complete their vaccination schedule.
To receive the dose, you should only go to the points authorized for vaccination, present your identification document and your vaccination card, where it is evident that you have already received the first two doses and on what date they were applied.
