Five minors were placed under judicial control on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Justice suspects them of having assaulted and robbed at least two people, since the beginning of the year, in Clapiers (Hérault). They would go through a dating site to lure their victims.
According to the Hérault gendarmes, the group had a well-established technique. One of them was choosing a target on a dating site. She arranged to meet him and then drew him under a Clapiers tunnel. There, four individuals, hooded and armed with knives, appeared. They struck the victim several times before stealing his wallet or credit card.
Thanks to the investigations of the Castelnau-le-Lez and Jacou-Clapiers research brigade, the five young people have been identified. They have been placed under judicial supervision while awaiting trial.
