“It didn’t happen, so on Monday everyone who could, including the delivery men, stood at the tables and put together the required five veils and one respirator,” a man working at one of the regional depots near Prague told Práva.

According to him, no one was given an exact instruction on how to proceed in this work. “Everyone had fun together, few people wore a veil and gloves,” added the source of Práva.

Prymula: The risk of spreading the virus is small
The violation of hygienic principles was obviously not unique in the sorting and packaging of drapes, Czech Television filmed a worker with an exposed nose in the Malešice central sorting room, and the ČTK agency was similarly managed.

The post office told Práva that the employees who packed the protective equipment for the elderly were equipped with veils and gloves and used disinfection.
–
“The workplace where the assembly took place was disinfected before the envelope was started. We did everything to maintain hygienic conditions, “says CP spokesman Ivo Vysoudil.
–
According to the epidemiologist and the government’s commissioner for science and research in health care, Roman Prymula, some people who counted and packed veils at the post office did not wear them, and gloves were not right.
–
“In general, people should do it in veils and gloves. If they do not, the risk that the coronavirus could spread in this way is relatively small. If it was on the plastic and there was a massive contamination, it would last a maximum of 48 hours, “he told Práva.
–
According to him, the rule applies to laboratory conditions that are not in transit, so there is a chance that the virus will die sooner. “If it caught on to any absorbent surface, 24 hours would be enough for the virus to dry out and die. If it was on a smooth surface, it would take up to 48 hours, “added Prymula.

They started delivering
A spokesman for ČP, Vysoudil, assured that the distribution of consignments with veils and a respirator to seniors, which began on Tuesday, is proceeding according to plan. “Today we started delivering shipments to mailboxes and will take place by the end of this week,” Vysoudil told Práva on Tuesday.
–
According to him, the deliverers were to deliver about a quarter of the shipments during Tuesday. In total, they have to deliver them to almost three million addresses. The delivery is nationwide in all regions and should end by Friday. The post office also asks seniors not to go to the post office for the package yet.
–
According to Vysoudil, the post office does not yet have more detailed information on the delivery of veils to the disabled, which was decided by the government on Monday.
