63 journalists from 43 countries participated in the voting for Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY).
The fair sex recognized the Korean compact crossover Kia Niro as the best, emphasizing the stylish design, as well as understandable and advanced technologies offered at a relatively affordable price.
Six vehicles contested the top title: Kia Niro (nominated as best city car), Jeep Avenger (family crossover), Citroën C5 X (large car), Nissan X-Trail (large crossover), Audi RS 3 (sports car) and Ford Ranger (all-wheel drive category).
The Kia Niro is offered in three versions: a regular hybrid, a plug-in plug-in hybrid and a fully electric vehicle. Both hybrid versions are equipped with an atmospheric 1.6 GDI and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, but the electric Niro EV is equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor and a 64.8 kilowatt-hour battery, which will provide a range of up to 463 kilometers without additional charging.
Let us remind you that in 2022 the main title was won by the Peugeot 308.
