The Directorate General for State Security – Mount Lebanon office has arrested a Lebanese and a Syrian in the localities of Baabda and Al-Dahiya, while a third Syrian is wanted in the locality of Tarik al-Jadida, as they constituted a group for falsifying the residences for displaced Syrians and then submit counterfeit files to the Syrian and Turkish embassies, obtain visas or settle down.
The lawsuit was brought against the detainees after they had confessed to having forged residence permits, using dedicated computer programs.
The two detainees were deposited with the competent authorities on the instructions of the judiciary, and the process of monitoring the Syrian fleeing for his arrest is still underway.
