Authorities are searching for the suspect in an attempted knife-point robbery of a 19-year-old man inside a Bronx subway station, New York City Police said.
According to the police report, the incident occurred on February 8, at about 6:30 pm, inside the subway station of Jerome Avenue/West 183 Street on platform 4 heading south. At that moment the alleged thief approached the victim, a 19-year-old boy, took out the knife and demanded his cell phone.
However, the report says, the young man managed to escape down the stairs and suffered a minor ankle injury, but did not want medical attention. The suspect fled without any items.
