This was said by DPS leader Lyutvi Mestan immediately after the consultations between the political forces to agree on a date for early parliamentary elections. There is no doubt that the agreement reached today between the political forces is a sign to the citizens to be calm, that there is a state that will not allow their interests to be affected, Mestan assured.
We have shown that in critical situations we can reach an agreement. I believe that the spirit of agreement was preserved during the remaining time of the mandate of this National Assembly. This agreement will be deepened and specified, together with the president. According to Lyutvi Mestan, an awful lot of time is wasted when we do not have consent. Time becomes a relative category in politics. There will be no need to extend the time for elections.
We must overcome the provocations through common consensus decisions to deal with these provocations against the stable banking system. An agreement was reached with the October 5 date for holding early parliamentary elections. We agreed that the holiday would be over. Better to preserve the will for a government of national agreement, so that we do not have to think about a government of national salvation later.
We still have a chance to talk about a government of national agreement, Mestan is convinced. The leader of the DPS was adamant that the banking system is actually stable. But according to him, the risks that cause panic should be prevented from causing an upheaval in the most stable institution in Bulgaria.
