Andrzej Rybiński and his second wife, Jolanta Szymańska, welcomed one son into the world. Kacper Rybiński was born in 1979. Today, they form a harmonious duet – literally harmonious, because they both perform on stage together. Although today their relationship is very close, there were moments when “there were storms”. Together they coped with both them and the family tragedy… This is how Andrzej Rybiński’s relationship with his son looks like.
Andrzej Rybiński – relationship with his son Kacper
Andrzej Rybiński is an artist who needs no introduction to any fan of the 70s and 80s of the last century. Today he is 74 years old, but just like in 1983 – today he is still does not count hours and years. Instead, he focuses on what is important: his loved ones and family, with whom he has a very warm relationship.
„Dad is the kind of person who likes to have something to say, so he likes to put his 5 cents here and there, he always knows everything best. It’s sometimes irritating, but we try to turn it into a joke,” said the artist’s daughter-in-law, Karolina Rybińska. Her husband, Kacper Rybiński, confirmed these words, saying: “Great guy, with his slight flaws of course.” He also added that his father is an eternal optimist and always tries to see the positive side of every situation.
The son has been accompanying Andrzej Rybiński on stage for several years. The talented keyboardist began following in his father’s footsteps when he was still a very small boy. “Kacper started learning music at a time when I was more focused on professional matters” we heard in the program.

Fortunately, this did not stop the artist’s son from being inspired by his father. Today, they both cannot imagine standing on stage without each other. “We have been working together for a good few years now, and I am incredibly happy about it,” said the 74-year-old, describing how he entrusted his son with all the important elements of the concerts, and he only… “he comes on stage and smiles at people.”

The Rybiński family struggled with tragedy
Although today the relationship between the two musicians is irreplaceable, as Kacper Rybiński said, in the past “there were storms”, suggesting that things weren’t always right between them. However, thanks to love and understanding, they managed to mend all the misunderstandings. The strength of their bond today is confirmed primarily by the fact that they coped with a family tragedy that befell them a decade ago.
Today, Kacper Rybiński is a happy husband to Karolina and the father of two sons — Mikołaj and Adam. In 2014, a real nightmare happened in their lives — their son Kuba died suddenly when he was only a few months old. “It was a cot death. My wife tried to resuscitate my grandson, but…” Andrzej Rybiński said, painfully recalling the loss of his four-month-old baby. “It’s hard, but time is not on his side for now. It still hasn’t healed the wounds. […] It’s hard for me, my wife too, but it’s even harder for my parents,” he confessed. “Life is hot” a few months after the tragedy.

Even though the family had to deal with the incredible pain of this loss, they had each other to lean on. There was something else that made them cope with their grief. “There is a small, comforting ray in this story. Our Kubuś did not die completely. Thanks to his heart, liver, he is alive and three children will live in health. I wish them this, I wish their parents this. It is easier for me to live with this thought after all this” we could read in “Rewii.” Andrzej Rybiński also added: “I don’t want to moralize, but if a tragedy happens, then… it shouldn’t be senseless, it shouldn’t be about something. Saving the life of a little person or an adult.”
