The head of Indes published a thread on twitter, in which he spoke about the Fesfut issue and about the “delicacy” of the situation
After it was announced, this Thursday morning, the raid on the Salvadoran Football Federation (Fesfut) for the crime of Fraudulent Administration and Money and Asset Laundering, by the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) and together with the National Civil Police (PNC), the president of the National Sports Institute (Indes), Yamil Bukele, spoke about this on his twitter account.
The head of the sports entity sent a thread, with some tweets, in which he spoke about the subject. He did not hesitate to mention that it is a “delicate” issue, regarding the crime that is being investigated and that it is “a separate case” regarding the “non-compliance” of the Sports Law.
“The Fesfut trying to distract public opinion, as it has done for many years and more during the last three,” he began.
“Gentlemen: this is a separate case to the breach of the General Sports Law. If you haven’t noticed, I share these tweets from the Prosecutor’s Office, “he completed and cited the tweets from the FGR.
In addition, he posted a tweet that Fesfut sent as “FIFA’s response to Indes” last “July 13, 2022”, in which he mentions the reiteration that “its member associations, officials and organizations comply with the statutes with the mandatory provisions” referring to “FIFA regulations, directives and decisions”.
Later, he continued with his thread: “They continue to think that they are untouchable, that they should not comply with the laws of our country and less so with issues as delicate as those who accuse them.”
He closed by congratulating the FGR and PNC “for the actions taken” and “for the accompaniment” in this case. He reiterated, “I am sure we will realize much more.”
