From a single manhole for underground cables conducting public lighting networks, at least six robberies or destruction have occurred due to the circulation of cars that take couples to weddings, or in their case fifteen-year-olds to the San Francisco temple in the center from the city.
On Tuesday night, unknown persons took a resistant metal cover, which supported the weight of the cars that go up the Callejón de San Francisco.
The manhole was created to connect underground electricity networks in the reconstruction of a part of the street.
However, that access window was planned with a quarry cover that does not resist the pressure exerted by the cars of quinceañeras or marriageable couples, whose drivers do not go up the esplanade, but through the alley, to the indifference of the road authorities.
The builders themselves have repeatedly changed this cover, made of concrete and steel, with quarry lining.
