The incredible price of nearly three million levs or exactly 2,849,536 levs was reached at a public auction for an apartment of 214 sq.m. located in the Doctor’s Garden in Sofia, said Marian Petkov, a private bailiff.

At the public auction organized by the Private Enforcement Agents Marian Petkov, a subdivision property was presented, representing an apartment on the second floor of a building on the corner of Shipka and San Stefano streets in Sofia.

The sale aroused great interest and more than twenty bidders appeared. The starting price from which the bidding started was in the amount of BGN 890,480. Even at the opening of the written bids, the price was reached by one third above the starting price, which is the ceiling for bidding according to the Civil Procedure Code.

This was followed by an oral bidding and after nineteen new bids, each in the amount of one tenth of the starting price, the property was won for the amount of BGN 2,849,536. This price means exactly 6808 Euro per square meter without additional costs for the buyer.

Achieving such a price is not a surprise for this area – in the Doctor’s Garden are rarely sold for sale any property and in practice there is no way to compare with market prices.

According to the bailiff Marian Petkov, citizens and companies have great confidence in the procedure for selling property at public auction and participate with interest and more and more often, at a properly determined starting price, there are serious bids, which is the main goal of public sale. under the Civil Procedure Code – to achieve a maximum price in the interest of the parties to the case.
