Texas LNG Brownsville secures place in seaport.

Brownsville, Tx.- The project developer Texas LNG (Texas LNG Brownsville LLC) signed a long-term lease with the Puerto Brownsville, securing the export site of natural gas liquefied (LNG) for up to 50 years.
The lease covers a 625 acre site located within the puerto of Brownsville.
In November 2019, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the export project of this company. In December, the Department of Energy granted extensions to export permits until 2050.

“Texas LNG is positioned to pursue a flexible and low-cost business model for global clients when operations begin in 2025, “he added.
The project plans to build and operate an export plant of natural gas liquefied with a capacity of four million tons per year (mtpa) from this site, simultaneously providing economic benefits to the local community.
