The Cabildo de La Palma, in collaboration with CaixaBank, has set up an account and the Bizum payment system to centralize financial donations from individuals and companies for those affected by the volcano.
This initiative is launched upon receipt of “multiple requests” to collaborate with affected families, says the Cabildo in a note. Its president, Mariano Hernández Zapata, extends his gratitude to the population for showing, once again, their solidarity with the people of La Palma. “We want to channel these expressions of affection through an accessible mechanism,” explains Zapata.
People who want to make their donation through Bizum must access the ‘Send donation’ tab and enter the code 03747. In this case, the maximum amount of total daily donation per person is 2,000 euros, which can be paid in various operations, with a limit of 500 euros per transaction.
At the time of making the donation, it must be indicated in the concept ‘Volcano Donation’. In case you want to record your help, you can register your NIF or DNI number and business name or name and surname.
