The 39-year-old man decided to attack his wife and mother of his children with a sharp chicken bone and stabbed her in the neck several times. The victim Yenny Paola Correa was on a conjugal visit after several threats from her husband, with whom she had been in a relationship for 16 years.
Upon arriving at the place, the man decides to wound her with 14 stab wounds, for which she had to be transferred to an Intensive Care Unit of the Santander University Hospital, where she spent more than a month trying to survive. However, on May 14, the woman died.
Therefore, Ronald Torres was brought before a judge where he was charged with the crime of femicide. According to the Attorney General’s Office, the 39-year-old man pleaded guilty to the death of his partner.
To this extent, the Seventh Criminal Judge of the Bucaramanga Circuit sentenced him to 483 months, the highest sentence for the crime of aggravated femicide. In addition, he will not have the possibility of requesting house arrest.
