Xeitos was born two years ago as a small local business located on the corner of Ra da Paz and Plaza do Ferro in the capital. There, Guille Blanco and Luca Sequeiros sold T-shirts and sweatshirts with original prints that they designed and manufactured themselves. From tuned Disney characters to a romantic image of Frida Kahlo were stamped on the Xeitos garments that in a few months conquered the public in Ourense. But not only this one. Through its website and its social networks, it reached clients from all over Spain. The two of us alone cannot combine creating content for networks, managing sales online and also the physical store, explains Guille. After trying different employees, they couldn’t get anyone to get involved enough in their project, so in February 2020 they decided to go for the virtual version of the business and lowered the blind on the small establishment. We liked that place so much that we continued paying rent for a few months even when it was closed, in case we found a solution, Luca remembers. And the covid arrived. So this couple from Ourense turned even more into their followers through social networks. They started selling new clothes from other distributors. Knitted jackets and sweaters, shirts, skirts, jewelry and accessories. Moneras as they call them. They updated their profiles with photos daily, they showed the arrival of new products and even Luca was modeling and trying on clothes so that they could see how they fit and how to combine them. Thus, in the midst of a state of alarm, his success was multiplied. In April we had a turnover greater than that of any Christmas, says Guille. But I wanted to be closer to the consumer. Getting that personalized attention that makes each client feel unique and special, adds Luca, a lover of the small business, who for years was in charge of El Sueo de Lu. They began to sell through direct Instagram, where they are currently followed by about 40,000 people. More than a business we are a community, clarifies the presenter of those connections. In the live shows, which are usually two a week and can last more than three hours, she shows clothes and tries on different designs. He offers them one by one, explaining their characteristics and price. The first client who requests it in comments, keeps it. It is a different sale, educational and so entertaining that more and more people are connecting to live shows. Then Guille is in charge of preparing the orders, which are carried out throughout Spain. In a single live we managed to sell the equivalent of a week in a physical store. It’s funny because now they buy much more from us in Ourense than before, almost 50% of the orders stay here. Something that makes us very happy, of course, he explains. Color, novelty and, above all, good humor are never lacking in the Xeitos shopping experience.
