They seize 50 kilos of beef transported without complying with hygiene standards

At a checkpoint on Provincial Route 340, personnel from the General Directorate of Rural and Environmental Crimes of the Police seized 50 kilos of beef that was transported without hygiene and safety measures. In addition, they hijacked the freezer without a motor in which it was contained.

With the aim of reinforcing and accentuating the police presence in rural areas, to promote a rapprochement with citizens, eradicate crime in general and intervene in situations that threaten, degrade or harm the environment, the North Rural and Environmental Crimes Division of Tapia deployed special controls.

This Saturday at 11:30, at a checkpoint on Provincial Route 340, they proceeded to control a gray Renault Kangoo utility truck in which a young man was driving. Upon requisitioning the vehicle, they discovered that it was carrying 50 kilos of beef without the necessary safety and hygiene measures and without respecting the cold chain, since they were inside a freezer without a motor and in poor condition.

Upon discovering this infraction of the Provincial Meat Law No. 5,435, the officers supervised by the Director General Chief Commissioner Luis Silenio Castano They gave intervention to the Livestock Directorate of the province, from where the seizure of the merchandise was endorsed and its confiscation was ordered.
