TIJUANA, FEBRUARY 11, 2022.- On February 13, 14 and 15, the traditional Cafetón Baristi will be held, which in its 14th edition seeks to touch more hearts to raise funds for the benefit of the Castro Limón Foundation that cares for children and adolescents with cancer.
In interview with Godofredo Monge, commercial director of Grupo Baristiindicated that the dynamics will be the same as last year, that is, people buy a ticket in which they express the donation they wish to deliver, and then exchange it for a coffee.
«In previous editions, what we did was an event in which 100% of the sale of a whole day was given in full to the Castro Limón Foundation, but with the pandemic this changed and now we do it through tickets over three days, which people can buy in exchange for a coffee, “he said.
The minimum donation is 100 pesos, The director explained, but people can donate a larger amount and, in gratitude, they are given a coffee for each ticket, both in their Baristi branches and in El Hidalgo branches.
«This initiative was due to the concern of Fabián Sánchez, director of Grupo Baristi, who approached the Castro Limón Foundation in order to generate an event to raise awareness among the population about the importance of donating and as part of their social responsibility”, recalled Godofredo Monge.
Thus, for 14 years Grupo Baristi has held the Cafetón, in order to support the foundation that cares for children and adolescents with cancer, whose treatment exceeds one million pesos per patient.
“The goal that we always set ourselves is to collect that million pesos that a child requires for his treatment, so we hope that the public becomes aware and supports this noble cause,” he stressed.
Finally, the commercial director of Grupo Baristi thanked the allied companies that joined with donations, such as Grano de Oro, Madueño Productions, Roots Restaurant, Bodegas F. Rubio, Inteliproof, Max Equipos, Aispuro Customs Agency, Humanitas University, Trillo Buildings, Vlads Capital, Baja California Tanks and Pumps, Environmental Comfort, Grupo Frasa and Botánica Mendoza. .
