The planning of the arrival of the section of the OS9 Department of Investigation of Criminal Organizations, of Carabineros, is an increasingly certain reality and part of it was what was analyzed in the meeting held between the Zone Chief, María Teresa Araya and the mayor of Chillán Viejo Jorge del Pozo.
“We are talking about something very important for our commune, but certainly it will be important for the Ñuble region, which has to do with the definitive installation of the specialized OS9 equipment, which could because we are in very fruitful meetings, to definitively achieve the installation in the commune of Chillán Viejo and from there operate for the Ñuble region,” said the mayor of Jorge del Pozo.
It should be noted that this purpose is within the installation commitments for this year and also has the approval of the General Director of Carabineros Ricardo Yáñez.
“It was a successful meeting, where all the work teams came together, with the aim of combining criteria to precisely possess this specialized unit, which is the OS9, which will be approximately 15 officials specializing in criminal dynamics, so that we could pursue crime precisely in the quadrant, possibly number two, where we are seeing its optimal location, in order to be able to address crime as a whole and thus, as the mayor says, it is not just the commune, but we have to see a more regionalist vision,” stressed Zone Chief María Teresa Araya.
