Villahermosa, Tab. The head of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), Diego Prieto, led a meeting with the governor of Tabasco, Javier May Rodríguez for the creation of the Quinta Grijalva Cultural Center, which will offer recreational activities for the inhabitants of Villahermosa, reported the INAH.
In a bulletin they announced that the initiative presented in 2018, by the previous federal administration, will be resumed to convert the former presidential residence of Los Pinos into a cultural complex open to the public. Thus, the residence known as Quinta Grijalva, which was the home of the head of the state Executive, will be converted into a venue for exhibitions, workshops and other activities.
Another point they addressed was the implementation of a reactivation plan for the La Venta Museum Park, located in the capital of Tabasco, and the archaeological zones of the entity, such as Moral-Reforma, in Balancán; La Venta, in Huimanguillo, and Comalcalco, in the municipality of the same name.
The director of the INAH Tabasco Center, Carlos Arturo Giordano Sánchez Verín, and the state secretaries of Culture and Cultural Development and Promotion, Aída Elba Castillo Santiago and Salvador Manrique Priego, respectively, also participated in the working meeting.
