PEORIA – Peoria police are asking for help locating a 10-month-old boy allegedly abducted by his father Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the disappearance of the minor was reported around 6:30 pm, the agents went to a house, located in the area of 91st Avenue and Deer Valley Road after receiving a report of domestic violence.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned that the boy’s mother was carrying the baby in her car when the boy’s father, Eric Maes, 30, arrived. Police say Maes stole the car and took the boy away.
Maes’s description is as follows: fair complexion, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches, 140 pounds, short brown hair, and brown eyes.
He was last seen on foot in the area of I-17 and Cactus Road in Phoenix after abandoning the vehicle. Officers say that Maes still has the 10-month-old with him.
The boy, Abel Maes, is white in complexion, approximately 20 inches tall, 20 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
