The children of a 58-year-old Thudinienne are unhappy: while their mother was in pain, the latter was sent home after going to the emergency room of the Saint-Joseph clinic in Lobbes. The reason given? “We must keep space for Covid cases”.

Muriel, a 58-year-old Thudinienne, went to emergency room of the Jolimont group in Lobbes, the Saint-Joseph clinic, on January 13. “She started to lose her mobility all of a sudden. It started with a backache, and two weeks later she was bedridden and could hardly move, ”explains her daughter, who accompanied her to the hospital that day.
The fifty-year-old will finally remain under observation one night … before to be sent home the next day. “I was called to ask me to come and pick her up,” explains one of her four children, Indra.
What the nursing staff of the Saint-Joseph clinic would have replied to Indra afterwards shocked her deeply: “They told me they needed room for Covid cases …”
► Three days later, Muriel was taken to La Louvière hospital: “She was completely malnourished”, his children testify.
► Called on by us, the Jolimont group reacts.
