Through one of his most recent videos, Cuban YouTuber Darwin Santana revealed private information about the life of Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, which makes clear the hypocrisy that this and other officials conduct from power.
The video, shared on the YouTube channel Darwin’s World talks about the family privileges of the colonel of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), which could cost him his position.
And, like the defenestrated Alejandro Gil Fernández, these privileges suggest that “corruption” and “insensitivity” are two things that govern Marrero’s career.
The influencer points out that the Prime Minister of the Island has arranged everything so that his mother, who lives in the neighborhood of the city of Holguín that used to be occupied by the gentry, receives food in boxes from Havana.
Among the images shared by the influencer is a photograph in which a modern car belonging to the state can be seen unloading boxes of food at the woman’s home.
While in any other part of the world it is not unusual for someone in a position of power to be in charge of ensuring food for their people, this is outrageous when it happens in Cuba, where communism is supposed to ensure the general needs of the people in place of the needs of those few in power.
Darwin Santana’s source states that this vehicle, identified as a Hyundai car with license plate M 050512, arrives at the house every week, while the rest of the town is hungry.
Among the items unloaded at the home are meat, milk and other foods that have become very difficult to find in state stores, once again making it clear that the multiple hours of waiting in hot store lines are only for Cubans from walking.
The influencer criticized Marrero for the alleged abuse of power, since he would be using State resources for personal benefit and that of his family, this in a context where the Island is going through one of the worst economic crises in its history.
In that sense, Santana accuses Marrero of enjoying undue privileges, all while the rest of the Cuban people suffer economic difficulties and restrictions that are a consequence of the mismanagement of the Castro regime.
Additionally, the video indicates that the minister’s mother and other relatives are involved in various maneuvers to be able to emigrate abroad or are already living in the United States.
This is a contradiction to everything that communist propaganda repeats in its speeches, because, despite ensuring that the “Empire” and capitalism are the root of all evil that afflicts the Island, all the leaders have relatives who live in the United States. , where they should not face a shortage of basic resources as in Cuba.
