Mountain rescuers reached the injured tourist in the area above the Rila Monastery.
The man fell in the Long Hill area and suffered a broken leg. It is located about 2000 meters above sea level.
Three teams of rescuers immediately went to the scene, one of which paved the way for the passage of colleagues.
The tourist does not have mountain insurance.
The operation should be completed within two hours, one of the participants in the action, Bozhidar Jokin, told BNR.
The action was attended by 10 mountain rescuers from Blagoevgrad and eight from Dupnitsa. They are carrying the man in their arms, just like the day before when they carried another injured tourist in Rila for four hours, who had two broken legs.
“The field is extremely difficult, it is also for us, but we will make it,” said Jokin.
