They rescue a 13-year-old girl after falling into a utility vault in NY – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – A 13-year-old girl was rescued after falling into a utility vault opened Saturday afternoon inside a children’s swimming school in the town of Mamaroneck, in New York’s Westchester County, announced the authorities.

Police said that apparently the lid that covered the vault was swept away by Storm Ida and no one had noticed that it was missing.

Police officers from the Mamaroneck town arrived at the place called Swim Tank, located in 120 Madison St., after the storm patrol was alerted to people calling for help.

Upon arrival, the report says, officers saw the minor who had fallen through the utility vault, which was in a corner of a parking lot, and was trapped up to the armpits as she struggled to avoid falling deeper.

The girl would have fallen while playing ball and went after her. At the time he was with his parents and sister, authorities said.

To rescue the minor, the assistance of several Fire Department and rescue teams was needed and after an hour of trying the girl was rescued.

The minor ended up with minor injuries and was transported to the Jacobi Medical Center accompanied by her father.
