While the number of Cuban rafters who have managed to make landfall in Florida has decreased considerably in recent months, it has not stopped completely, which is why the USBP reports the arrest of at least one of them per month.
Several of these have had to be rescued after they make landfall in the Florida Keys, as they do so in uninhabited areas such as Marquesa Key. and in Dry Tortugas National Park, west of Key West.
