In the last 24 hours, 811 new cases of coronavirus in the country, reported this Saturday the Ministry of Public Health in its newsletter monitoring the virus, which details an increase in the cumulative positivity, which stands at 9.11%, one percentage point more than on Friday.
The health authorities also reported that the number of active cases is 7,898445 more people than those reported this Friday. It adds that two other people have died from the disease in the last 24 hours.
5,155 samples were processed for the detection of the virus and another 2,086 corresponding to affected patients. The number of recovered is 353,098, while 1,737,844 cases were discarded.

Today’s bulletin shows that 555 people occupy COVID-19 beds in health facilities, three more than reported on Friday. While 195 patients are in ICU beds, 11 more than yesterday and 122 use ventilators, adding one more than in the previous bulletin.
As of October 8, 12,098,704 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the Dominican Republic.
The data was published one day after the Ministry of Public Health announced that as of October 18, people must present their vaccination certificate to enter bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops, gyms, sports and entertainment centers, work and study centers.
