The Cuban Tourism Authorities announced that they were renewing the validity period of the mandatory document that is delivered at airports when entering Cuba. If it was 48 hours before that, until when did they extend it?
The update on the mandatory entry document to Cuba refers to the D’Viajeros platform, an online portal implemented by the Cuban government to register visitors before they arrive in the country.
Previously, travelers had to submit their personal data and electronic visa number within 48 hours before arriving in Cuba, now the time has been extended to favor – visit the island in the middle of the tourism crisis.
According to information officer, from last October 1, 2024, this period extended to seven daysgiving tourists more time and flexibility to complete and submit their information before they travel.
D’Viajeros: the necessary document to enter Cuba
So the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba announced on their social networks about the new step, confirming it: «The D’Viajeros platform is now available! Now you can complete it up to 7 days before your travel date to Cuba. Don’t waste time and make sure you have a hassle-free entry.
Beginning in January 2023, all travelers entering Cuba must present the D’Viajeros digital format at airports, which collect immigration, health and customs information.
The process of D’Viajeros aims to improve the passenger experience while traveling through the island, as it provides advance information that allows to speed up procedures at the different entry points, according to officials.
As we already remember, it is “compulsory for all travelers” to fill out the information truthfully from the Directorate of Identification, Immigration and Immigration, General Practices of the Republic and the Ministry of Public Health .
