A fan recreates some of the most iconic scenes from the first Pokémon movies on the Game Boy, with pixel art and a lot of ingenuity.
The nostalgia factor has always been a very important element in the Pokémon franchise. Its continuity and success are largely due to this. This is how classic cards hold their value, for example. It is not something that only those responsible benefit from, luckily. It is a reason for joy for fans on a frequent basis. As it has been for this artist who has recreated the first pokemon movies on game boy.
Be careful, it is not that he has recreated entire video games that adapt these stories. I wish I could see a similar fan project! Instead what the Twitter user has done Sindorman has been to select two key scenes. From the first film he has recreated the moment of the magical resurrection tears that made more than one child cry. From the second you have selected the moment in which the legendary Pokémon appears Lugia.
You can see both images below. They are almost perfect recreations that we could perfectly believe that they come from Pokémon Red and Blue. The attention to detail is maximum and its color palette is as faithful as possible to the capabilities of the Game Boy console.
What if we got game adaptions of the Pokemon movies as they came out? pic.twitter.com/RFtkCYwEGf

This recreation of the first Pokémon movies on the Game Boy makes us want to see them again. Or to revive them: it would be great to play both classics as video games with their retro touch. If you want to be more engrossed in the nostalgia of the franchise, we recommend you follow Sindorman closely. The pixel art artist has promised to make more recreations of other feature films in the saga in the future.
For the moment we are left with Pokémon Scarlet and Purple. We are looking forward to the new generation!
