Mexico City.- Historian’s Articles, Publications and Books Alfredo Lopez Austin, who died on October 15, who was a specialist in Mesoamerican history and culture, with a focus on worldview, myth, rite and iconography, are available on the site Mesoweb.com, dedicated to Mesoamerican cultures.
Mesoweb offers dozens of publications on the ancient cultures of Mexico and Central America, with special emphasis on the Mayans and is maintained with the cooperation of the Institute of Ancient Cultures, a non-profit foundation, as well as specialists such as the archaeologist Leonardo López Luján and the Mayan David Stuart, among others.
In their social networks, López Luján announced that the publications of his father, Alfredo López Austin, are in free access PDF format.
Alfredo López Austin was one of the most renowned scholars of pre-Columbian Mexico, expert in Mesoamerican worldview and in the indigenous peoples of the country and on the site it is possible to download, for example, La Constitución Real de México-Tenochtitlan, with a foreword by Miguel León-Portilla, published in 1961 by the Institute of History: Seminario de Cultura Náhuatl, from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Articles published in specialized magazines are also available like El Coatepantli de Tenochtitlan. Historia de un Misntendido, co-authored with López Luján, which appeared in Arqueología Mexicana in 2011.
