The Legislators Block of the Justicialista Party – Nuevo Encuentro presented a legislative project to publicize the work done by the Community Theater and Mental Health Workshop “La Línea del Borde” of social interest, health, community, education and culture . This place is organized by the Mental Health Service of the Choele Choel Regional Hospital and coordinated by the theater director, actor and cultural manager, Pablo Otazu.
The workshop, which started working on September 9 this year, brings together more than 20 people, including patients with mental health conditions, psychologists, psychiatrists, operators and the community in general. This space aims to build bonds of inclusion, understanding and compassion, promoting a more integrated view of mental health and human well-being.
The president of the Bloc, legislator Daniel Belloso, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “Community theater has a great social value, as it allows us to redefine rights and give tools of expression for people with vulnerable situations. “Recognizing this workshop also recognizes the positive impact it has on the self-esteem and quality of life of the people who take part.”
The foundations of the project emphasize that art, and especially community theater, is a way to change reality, uniting participants in a place of gathering and support, without differences of race, training, social status or health mind The proposal is in line with the principles of the National Mental Health Law No. 26,657 and Regional Law “R” No. 2,440, which promotes the inclusion and rights of people with mental health conditions.
In addition, the project emphasizes the concept of “Education through art”, citing studies that show its positive impact on self-esteem and self-esteem. In this sense, Belloso said: “This workshop represents a model of how public policies can address mental health from an inclusive approach that respects human rights.”
The project also has the signatures of legislators Ana Marks, Leandro García, Pedro Dantas and Luis Ivancich, who supported the campaign put forward by Belloso. The PJ-NE Bloc reaffirms its commitment to continuing to promote activities that value art as a tool for social transformation and the protection of human rights.
