The Community has held a technical conference on vaccines that has included the conference ‘Vaccine research against Covid-19 in Spain’, by Juan Francisco García Arriaza, researcher and virologist at the Higher Center for Scientific Research (CSIC), as reported by regional government sources in a statement.

During the event, organized by the Vaccine Program, recognition was given to the professionals involved in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in the Region of Murcia, to whom society’s gratitude was conveyed for make possible the largest deployment in the history of this community to protect the population against a disease.

The representatives of the participants have received an award as a token of appreciation for “their effort and interest” during the Covid-19 pandemic, in bringing vaccination to the entire Region and making it accessible to the entire population.

In the act, which was chaired by the Minister of Health, Juan José Pedreño, the work carried out by health and non-health personnel during the beginning of the vaccination process against Covid-19, as well as the population, was recognized. for his behavior during the pandemic.

Since the beginning of the vaccination process, 3,046,062 doses of vaccines against covid have been administered and 1,302,300 people in the Region of Murcia have been immunized with at least one dose.

A total of 1,283,739 Murcians are prime-vaccinated, which means that they have received two doses of the vaccine, except for those who were immunized with the Janssen formula or had previously been infected and only received one dose. This represents 94 percent of those over 11 years of age.
