The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) ordered a search of two homes located in San Diego, La Libertad, linked to José Samuel Peñate Sola, a teacher charged with illegal trafficking.
During the search operation, they captured Oneida de los Ángeles Vides Portillo, the defendant’s spouse, since $15,059 was found buried in the patio of one of the homes, as well as two vehicles.
Peñate was a teacher at an educational center in located in El Zonte, La Libertad and was arrested yesterday in possession of 4,826 grams of marijuana, $837.00 in cash, two cell phones and a vehicle.
The professor is accused of the crime of illicit trafficking, while Oneida is accused of the crime of special cases of money laundering, for events that occurred in February 2024.
