MEXICALI, BC, March 27, 2021.- The Secretariat of the Field and Food Security (SCSA) carried out the training “Nutrition in Citrus”, as part of its State Program of Advisory for Productive Reconversion.
The head of the SCSA, Héctor Haros Encinas, indicated that since the beginning of the administration, they have worked in coordination with citrus growers, with the aim of increasing the citrus planting area, for this reason programs in support of the sector are being promoted.
In this talk, the importance of foliar fertilization was discussed, an action that has been neglected in recent times, deficiency of frames and nutrients in citrus fruits, identification of deficiencies, problems and results of validations carried out in the Mexicali Valley, among other topics.
For his part, the Director of Technical Advisory and Accompaniment, Germán Corrales Flores, pointed out that said talk was given by extensionist Carlos Beltrán, an expert in the management and development of citrus fruits.
The training was carried out through the ZOOM platform and there was good participation by producers.
To finish Haros Encinas, he indicated that they will continue to carry out training in the management of this and other crops, so that those interested acquire knowledge for their management.
