Within the framework of the actions of the Province for the commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the Coup d’Etat in Argentina, the books that won the contest “Stories of Grandmothers and Grandchildren” were presented:

Here tá !, by Magdi Kelisek; “Tu abrazo”, by María Macarena de la Cuesta and Mónica Adriana Kulin; “This was my grandfather”, by Julia Parodi and Eugenia Contreras; “Libertad es poco”, by Emilia Magalí Spahn; and “Welcome Questions”, by Silvina Kaspin and Vale Brudny.

The works address the theme of memory, truth and justice, making visible the stories of grandmothers and the search they undertook to find their granddaughters and grandchildren.

“These stories highlight the flags of memory, truth and justice, and reinforce the commitment and work carried out by the Grandmothers,” said the Minister for the Promotion of Employment and the Family Economy, Laura Jure, who also expressed: “There is much more here than technical capacity; there is love and feeling in what they wrote and illustrated, this transcends ”.

In turn, Councilor Soledad Ferraro said that it is “the opportunity to contribute a grain of sand in the struggle of Grandmothers from an artistic perspective, revaluing literary productions.”

The books were part of “Stories of Grandmothers and Grandchildren”, the Literary and Illustration Contest for early childhood that the Province carried out.

It is worth noting that the publications will be included as a pedagogical proposal for the initial level of the project “Travel Suitcase for Identity” of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo. Likewise, it will be material for the organizations and trainers that work jointly with the Ministry of Employment Promotion and Family Economy.

Sonia Torres, the president of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo Córdoba and representatives of the association participated in the presentation; Mariela Edelstein, secretary of Extension and Institutional Relations of the Provincial University (UPC), and the authors of the stories.
