The ungrouped congresswoman María del Carmen Alva, presented a bill that proposes authorizing the withdrawal of 100% of the Compensation for Time of Service (CTS) so that workers can have these funds to cover their needs, due to the crisis generated by the economic recession.
The initiative of the former president of Congress sets December 31, 2024 as the maximum date on which workers who wish to withdraw their CTS can do so.

Alva Prieto explains that his legislative proposal is motivated by the difficult economic situation that the country is going through, a crisis that means that families cannot easily cover their basic needs. That is why, due to the nature of the CTS of being a contingency fund, the availability of this money is proposed to alleviate the effects of the recession.
It should be noted that the president of the Economy Commission, César Revilla (Fuerza Popular), Digna Calle ( Podemos Peru), also presented bills in this regard. In total, there are 10 initiatives that propose the temporary release of CTS funds.
