QUERÉTARO, Qro., February 12, 2023.- Querétaro is one of the states that banks are most used to buy a house, instead of looking for a scheme offered by the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit).
José Guerrero Renaud, president of the National Chamber of the Housing Development and Promotion Industry (Canadevi), explained that the entity stands out for its desire to seek the support of banks to buy a home.
“Querétaro is the only state that places more through banks than through Infonavit, which means that people have to resort to private banking, instead of being able to take advantage of their infonavit credit,” he said.
If around 11,000 bank loans for housing are placed, the figure in case reaches 9,000 in Infonavit.
Another of the challenges that the people of Queretaro face is the increase in the cost of both steel and concrete, which is added to the high costs of land and water, as this causes houses to be somewhat more expensive.
The situation means that the credits themselves are more expensive than in previous years.
