San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur. The general director of Ecology and Environment of the municipality of Los Cabos, Carlos López Montalvo, pointed out that they are working on priority projects for the Estero de San José del Cabo (SJC), where the physical delimitation of said body of water stands out, same action that had never been performed.
“For the ecological reserve of Estero San José del Cabo there are various projects that we are about to start, with a budget of approximately one million 300 thousand pesos; It is important to mention that, independently of these projects, other ongoing actions will be carried out, such as maintenance, surveillance, supplies to carry out the cleaning days, ”López Montalvo explained.
In addition, he stressed that, through signage and other types of dissemination, it will be specifying that it is a Ramsar site, that is, that it qualifies as a designated wetland of international importance, the same information that, said the director, many people ignore before the lack of diffusion.
