The deceased was traveling on a motorcycle. in the company of a man on the road that goes from the town of La Loma, jurisdiction of El Paso, to the city of La Jagua de Ibirico, when they were captured by some subjects, who They gave them a stop sign, apparently for stealing their vehicle. When they ignored them, they shot at them, causing the death of the young woman after being shot in the back. His partner was injured in the hand.

The young people were transferred to the Hospital Jorge Isaac Rincones, where the death of Andrea Bermeo Chogo was confirmed. The crime was condemned by the Cesar region community, including Senator Didier Lobo, who asked the authorities to catch those responsible for his cousin’s murder.
“With deep pain and complete rejection, I condemn the murder of my cousin, Andrea Bermeo Chogo18 years old, on the road to Boquerón, jurisdiction of La Jagua de Ibirico, while his motorcycle was stolen while he was returning from work“the correspondent wrote in his account X.
For his part, Jesús Ortiz, the mayor of El Paso, sent a message of solidarity to the relatives of the victim.
“We cannot allow these criminal acts to destroy the peace and tranquility we have worked for. so much to build in the cities. My condolences to the victim’s family and to the community, who today feel the weight of this tragedy“, he noted in a statement.
