They march in solidarity with Palestine and to demand an end to the “genocide”

A group of citizens held a march this Saturday, from the Estela de Luz to Lincoln Park, in solidarity with the Palestinian people to demand an end to the “genocide that Israel is committing.”

In this context, they accused that those responsible for the violent attacks on two of their companions, Rosalina and Mauricio, who were “demonstrating peacefully”, which occurred two weeks ago in the Polanco area, by a group of five men they identified as “Jews.”

One of them “broke his arm” and the woman accompanying him “was hit in the stomach and her cell phone was stolen,” they said. In addition, they accused that the authorities of Mexico City have not provided the recordings of the public security video surveillance cameras.

“Polanco is Mexico, it is not Israel, was one of the slogans that the protesters chanted to claim that in the country “violations of freedom of expression cannot be allowed.”

In front of the statue of the historic social fighter Martin Luther King, in Lincoln Park, they denounced that the people of Palestine “are being massacred by the most racist people.”

The mobilization started around 5 p.m., and on their way along Paseo de la Reforma they waved Palestinian flags, while chanting slogans such as “it is not a war, it is a genocide” and “Fight, fight, do not stop fighting, for a free Palestine from the river to the sea.”

They expressed their indignation, because since the conflict with Israel began, more than 40 thousand people have been murdered. For this reason, they demanded an end to the attacks on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
